90. Winchester Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine, .44 CF, barrel exhibits normal wear with a couple areas of pitting present. Top line of barrel address is visible with second line a bit weak. Barrel is a brown patina- rear of barrel and magazine tube have had some browning coloration added at some time. Receiver is untouched and turned a pleasing dark mustard patina. Replacement walnut looks good. Nicely made replacement crescent brass buttplate lacks cleaning rod port. Second style rear carbine sight missing top section. This is probably a 3rd model SRC with a 1st model lever. Action functions but is snaggy. Not a bad looking SRC for the money. Antique.
