95. Winchester Model 1876 Rifle, .45-60, 28" full octagon barrel, full length magazine. This rifle was found in Arizona by a fellow while hunting in 1968. He and his uncle were in the Whetstone Mountains near Apache Springs. He saw two inches of the barrel protruding from the ground. Found with the rifle was an 1860 Colt percussion cylinder with three chambers empty, a spur rowl and a bridle bit. The rifle is a 2nd model with the first three SN digits readable. The outfit is in dug-up condition ( not cleaned). The 76 still has all of its metal parts including sights. Missing the forearm and pieces of the buttstock. Very interesting grouping along with a signed letter from the lucky hunter. Antique
