120. Half- Stock Percussion Rifle with Tyler Davidson made Lock. .42 caliber, 36" full octagon barrel, barrel markings are not quite legible. Overall good condition with metal having turned a dark plum brown patina. Pewter forearm cap, four German silver pear-shaped barrel lock plates. German silver oval escutcheon atop wrist. Attractive light engraving on the lockplate, upper tang and crescent butt plate. A few cracks in the lockplate area have been repaired and seem solid. Checkering in wrist area worn but visible. Cheekpiece present on stock. Silver blade front and rigid buckhorn rear sights. Complete with double-set triggers. Good looking Plains rifle. Antique.
